Biography
Clarity and confidence across growth, scale, and complexity.
EXECUTIVE BIOGRAPHYJeff Amadatsu is an enterprise executive whose career has been built at the intersection of technology, governance, enterprise transformation, and strategic leadership. Over more than twenty-five years, he has worked alongside founders, executive teams, and boards to help organizations navigate complexity, strengthen governance, and execute through periods of significant growth and change.
In 2007, Jeff founded the technology consulting practice that would become IT Directorship — built on the belief that organizations needed embedded executive leadership rather than conventional external consulting. Over eighteen years, the firm grew entirely through long-term relationships and referrals, serving more than fifty organizations across mining, financial services, professional services, and industrial sectors before its acquisition by Terra Dygital in 2025. The firm was one of two companies Jeff built and transitioned within the Kerrisdale Group of Companies — the corporate holding company; the second, The Tech Valet, was acquired by Nucleus Networks in 2019.
As the firm's principal consultant, Jeff worked alongside leadership teams inside dozens of those organizations, serving as a senior technology and governance advisor. Unlike traditional consulting engagements, these relationships were built through long-term participation in executive decision-making and organizational evolution, providing an uncommon comparative perspective from working inside private and public companies of different sizes, industries, ownership structures, and stages of maturity while remaining independent of any one of them.
Among those relationships, the longest and most significant was with Wheaton Precious Metals, one of Canada’s largest publicly traded precious metals companies and a pioneer of the metals streaming model. Jeff spent seventeen years as Consulting Director of Information Technology for Wheaton — an engagement that began with the separation of enterprise systems from its former parent and required trust before track record. Seventeen years inside a governance-intensive public company shaped his judgment about controls, executive accountability, and the discipline that enduring institutions require.
Most recently, Jeff served with Akaliko Global, a leading supplier of heavy-duty mining components and hydraulic cylinders, in a mandate that grew from strategic advisor to Chief of Staff to Chief Administrative Officer and Strategic Advisor to the CEO — leading the development of enterprise governance, organizational design, and operating model architecture across a geographically distributed organization. Following the conclusion of his executive tenure, he continues to support the organization in a strategic advisory capacity.
Jeff’s work increasingly explores how artificial intelligence is reshaping executive judgment, governance, and operating models — a perspective developed through his research platform, The Owner’s Lens™, and INSEAD’s International Directors Programme, which he is currently completing. He is at his best where complexity exceeds certainty: when organizations are scaling, expanding internationally, integrating new technologies, or strengthening governance for their next stage of growth.
A founder by background and an enterprise executive by experience, Jeff operates between Canada and Southeast Asia, with executive relationships across Singapore and Thailand and deep ties within Canada’s mining, industrial, and technology sectors. He advises selectively through Kerrisdale Management Consulting Inc., where his focus remains where it has always been — helping owners, CEOs, boards, and leadership teams make better decisions when complexity exceeds certainty.
